JOOLA Infinity Edge Table Tennis Racket Review

I am really fond of JOOLA brand paddles and Infinity Edge is my best and favorite table tennis racket ever. Constructed with a strong 7-ply blade, this bat is capable of powering your shot. Driver 42 rubber is used for those who like to put a lot of spin on the ball, making it a great weapon for the price. Additionally, this paddle comes with an ergonomic handle that is easy to hold and doesn’t slip easily.

This racket has improved my playing a lot and I have progressed. The JOOLA Infinity Edge is an exceptional choice for intermediate players seeking to elevate their performance, offering an impressive blend of spin, speed, and control capabilities.

Blade Construction

The JOOLA Infinity Edge table tennis racket features a 7-ply blade composed of five layers of wood and two layers of carbon fiber. Compared to the Infinity Balance, the Infinity Edge carries a slightly higher weight. The five layers of wood incorporate not just any ordinary wood, but rather high-quality premium and specialty woods such as Hinoki, Koto, and Ayous. Let me explain to you about these three woods.

Hinoki:

Hinoki is ideal for quick strikes. It is often used as the outer layer of the blade.

Koto:

The reason behind using Koto is to swiftly counterattack. It is usually used in the middle layers of the blade.

Ayous:

Ayous is for precise control and is usually used in the inner layers of the blade.

Assembled With Driver 42 Rubber

Review and Prices of JOOLA infinity edge table tennis racket

The JOOLA Infinity Edge table tennis racket comes equipped with Driver 42 rubber, specifically designed to enhance your spin control on the ball. This rubber is placed on a sponge that measures 2.2mm which is ideal for playing powerful shots.

I’d like to point out something about the features JOOLA Spin offers. Although it’s advertised with a rating of 94, it’s more accurately rated around 86. But don’t let that deter you, because an overall rating of 86 is still pretty good and can definitely level up your game.

One problem I’ve noticed is that the rubber starts to peel away from the wood around the edges over time. I’ve encountered this problem with JOOLA Infinity Balance and Overdrive as well. Unfortunately, it appears to be a common drawback across all JOOLA paddles.

Super Comfortable Handle

The JOOLA Infinity Edge has as ergonomic flared handle that is extremely comfortable. This handle will give you the best grip and won’t slip easily from your hand and you will be able to focus more and your game.

Pros
  • Large sweet spot
  • Great spin
  • Feels great in hand
  • Perfect for fast hitting
  • Great value for money
  • Incredible control
Cons
  • Non ITTF approved (The JOOLA Infinity Edge is not certified for ITTF games)
  • Rubber may starts to peel away from the wood around the edges over time.
